Wormsloe Oak Avenue & Tybee Island Beach
Two relaxed days using Savannah's most photogenic landscapes — the Wormsloe oak avenue on day one morning, Bonaventure Cemetery in the afternoon, and Tybee Island beach on day two. Wormsloe's 1.5-mile live oak avenue is entirely accessible from the parking lot; the walk down the avenue and back through the oak canopy with Spanish moss overhead is the essential Savannah landscape experience with minimal exertion. Bonaventure Cemetery's 160 acres of Victorian monuments and live oak alleys above the Wilmington River can be experienced entirely from the main avenue roads by car or by a short level walk. Tybee Island on day two is 18 miles from downtown Savannah — Georgia's most visited beach, with the 1742 lighthouse at the north end and the Tybee Pier at the south end framing a 3-mile beach. The North Beach section near the lighthouse is the quieter end.
