Old State Capitol State Historic Site

The building was later dismantled and meticulously reconstructed stone by stone, and costumed interpreters now guide visitors through the legislative chambers, law library, and governor's office as they appeared in Lincoln's day. It was also here that Lincoln's body lay in state in 1865 as the nation mourned.

Lincoln Tomb, Oak Ridge Cemetery
