The Blowing Rock Overlook

The manor's sweeping veranda is one of the finest porch views in the mountains, and the house serves today as the Parkway Craft Center, showcasing and selling work by Southern Highland craftsmen. Below and around the house spread 25 miles of gently graded carriage trails, laid out by Cone through apple orchards and rhododendron, that make for superb easy walking. It is a graceful, low-effort introduction to the estate that also holds tomorrow's Bass Lake loop.
