Lake County Historical Museum
Housed in the stately 1924 old Lake County Courthouse in the heart of Eustis's second point of the Golden Triangle, the Lake County Historical Museum gathers the story of the region under one roof. Its collections span Native American artifacts from the ancient lake cultures, relics of the citrus and steamboat booms that built these towns, military and pioneer history, and a room devoted to local hero and NASCAR founder's-era racing lore. Knowledgeable volunteers give the small museum a warm, personal feel and can point out the best of the surrounding historic district. It is the ideal deeper dive into the heritage of the whole triangle. Confirm the museum's open days before visiting, as hours are limited.
