It is an easy, pleasant place to browse and orient before the theater and the run out to Hell.

Hell is a tiny unincorporated hamlet in the wooded hills of Livingston County that has leaned all the way into its infernal name, turning a country crossroads into one of Michigan's most gleefully silly roadside stops. The village core consists of a handful of themed businesses clustered by the Hell Creek dam — you can pay a few dollars to be crowned Mayor of Hell for an hour (then promptly impeached), mail a scorched postcard from the Hell post office, and pose beside the wooden 'Gates of Hell.' Devilishly punny signs, a mini-golf course, and a genial sense of humor run throughout. Small, self-guided, and worth thirty to sixty minutes of unhurried, grinning wandering.
